UpTo3D is an applicable superstructure of the MicroStation system that enables to convert 2d designs into 3d designs either by the help of the database that contains coordinates ofT the measured points or by the help of the reference 3d file that contains geodetic points.
UpTo3D is marked by following properties:
All the most important tools of the application are placed in the main dialog box.
It enables so called massive design conversion when all the designs are being converted from the input directory (2d) into the destination directory (3d).
It enables to optimize the conversion velocity according to the used database. The type of the used database markedly influences the conversion velocity.
Absolutely fastest conversion from 2d into 3d design was achieved by the help of the 3d reference file that contained the geodetic points. To determine definitely the geodetic points in the reference file it is necessary to set their attributes in the dialog box of the UpTo3D application.
After the first start of the application there will be made the file upto3d.rsc in the directory structure (the variable MS_DATA) of the MicroStation, in which all recently set values will be saved – it means after the next start of the application UpTo3D will the values stay the same as they were with the previous start.
Help of the UpTo3D application is available directly from MDL application UpTo3D on the internet.
UpTo3D is available for MicroStation V8i, PowerDraft V8i and Bentley Map PowerView V8i on the Windows XP/Vista/7/8 platform.
